Avesco Rent is also presented at Comptoir Broyard with its pellet heating solution.
The Comptoir Broyard has established itself as the largest trade fair in the canton of Vaud. The last edition attracted over 90,000 visitors. The organisers now wanted to reduce the CO2 footprint of this event, which will be held this year from 17 to 26 November.
Avesco Rent was able to respond favourably to this requirement by supplying mobile pellet heaters. The main advantage of these heaters is that they are CO2-neutral. Wood absorbs as much CO2 as it releases when it is burned.
We delivered and installed 10 x LA150 mobile pellet heaters, equipped with a remote management system to control the systems and the supply of pellets. The event was also accompanied by a pilot project involving a large silo capable of simultaneously supplying 6 mobile pellet heaters.
Although the machine is more expensive to hire, savings are possible as the fuel price is not the same; pellets are cheaper than heating oil. In addition, our pellet procurement is carried out with a reliable and recognised partner. The wood pellets we use all come from the same supplier. This supplier has always been committed to preserving the environment and supplies our customers with pellets made from Swiss wood.
Thanks to this solution, Comptoir Broyard will reduce its heating oil consumption by half this year. The organisers are aiming to completely eliminate the use of heating oil for the next edition. One final positive point is noted on site: the smell of burning wood pellets is much more pleasant than that of heating oil!
